The Problem • Local search in India today is not Location Centric – WAP based sites for largest local search providers e.g. Sulekha, Infomedia, Just Dial – Lack of comprehensive database of geocoded locations for Points of Interest • Local Search is not social – Search becomes more useful if there is user data added to it e.g. reviews – Greater awareness if integrated with online social presence • Local Search is not discovery centric – Good for specific queries, not great for browsing • Local Businesses have no way of targeting users in vicinity
