  5. 5. WELCOME TO IHRF'S SITE history of IHRF <ul><li>The IHRF is a registered NGO in HONG KONG as well as in PAKISTAN.IHRF has representatives in deferent countries. Syed M.N.Asim and his friends formed it in 1992.Later on registered in Islamabad the capital city of Pakistan And then later on registered in 2001 in Hong Kong. The IHRF has worked with Human Rights Cell Govt. of PAKISTAN. Basically IHRF is a non-profit making community base and self help bases non-governmental voluntary organization. </li></ul>
  6. 6. <ul><li>Which is not only working on grass root level but also working on policy and advocacy levels. Was formed in Hong Kong in 2001, run by a team of volunteers to work for betterment of the community & integration in the society and create racial harmony! </li></ul>
  7. 7. CHARTER OF IHRF <ul><li>1.Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Adopted and proclaimed by General Assembly resolution 217 A (111) of 10 December 1948. </li></ul>

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF IHRF <ul><li>1- Our aim is to act against the violation of </li></ul><ul><li>human rights. </li></ul><ul><li>2- To create awareness among the people </li></ul><ul><li>regarding their human rights which was </li></ul><ul><li>adopted and proclaimed by the general </li></ul><ul><li>assembly of UNO in December 10,1948. </li></ul>
  9. 9. <ul><li>3- Focus the problems (such as race discrimination) of south Asian residents of HKSAR. </li></ul><ul><li>4- Bridging between Chinese and non-Chinese residents of HKSAR being having an aim that, WE ARE ALL TOGATHER HONG KONG. </li></ul><ul><li>5- Ethnic minorities    integration in to the wider society and create the social harmony. </li></ul>

MEMBERSHIP OF IHRF <ul><li>Every adult can become a member of IHRF on condition that, </li></ul><ul><li>1.He/she should be a sound mind. </li></ul><ul><li>2.No criminal record. </li></ul><ul><li>3.Should be agreeing with constitution, articles, charter, aims and objectives of IHRF. </li></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><li>4.Should fill up the application form, any membership is subject to approval by the board of Directors of IHRF. </li></ul>
  11. 11. Cancellation Of Membership <ul><li>Any membership can be cancelled by </li></ul><ul><li>1/ 3 majority of directors of IHRF. </li></ul>
  12. 12. PAST ACTIVITIES IN HKSAR Events-- <ul><li>  Peace walks* for peace in the world on March 23, 2001. </li></ul>

  16. 16. <ul><li>During SARS outbreak all volunteers took part to distribute the Facemasks to the public. Beside this also we suggested HAB to convey this important message to the ethnic minorities in to their own language, they agreed and arranged translated material and showed in print and electronic media. </li></ul>

As an example in the multicultural and multilingual society of Hong Kong ethnic minorities face considerable problems due to language barriers. </li></ul>
