Wilmar Indonesia berencana memperluas kawasan pabriknya di Gresik, Jawa Timur. Dari total luas lahan
75 hektare saat ini perseroan menargetkan akan menjadi 100 hektare dalam dua tahun mendatang.
Luas kawasan saat ini dinilai masih kurang mendukung optimalisasi produksi dan logistiknya, yang setiap
hari diperkirakan 600 unit mobil keluar‐masuk kawasan pabrik Wilmar di Gresik. “Ini belum termasuk
kontainer besar yang keluar‐masuk, sekitar 100 kontainer per hari,” kata Taufik dalam kunjungan pabrik
di Gresik, Selasa, 10 April 2012.
Dalam satu hari Wilmar Indonesia mampu memproduksi minyak goreng sebanyak 23 ribu ton. Dari
jumlah itu sebanyak lima persen merupakan produksi minyak goreng dengan merk sendiri, di antaranya
Sania, Sovia, dan Fortune.
