Is there equity in shared-use mobility today? Will there be tomorrow? Who will serve low-income communities? For-profit companies will want subsidies. There are few nonprofit car shares in the market to fill the gap. Low-emission vehicles are desperately needed in communities disproportionately burdened by air pollution. But launching an electric or hybrid car-sharing effort can be prohibitively expensive. What is the way forward? Analyze the research. Listen to lessons learned.
