  19. 19. REFRESH The The Bauhaus Movement was based on a German revival of purer, Bauhaus honest design representation in architecture, art, typography and product design. It’s philosophy celebrated austere functionalism (1919-33) with little or no ornamentation.19

  32. 32. DEFINE The IxD The IxD Bauhaus could be defined as a return to purity and honesty in visual interaction experiences - with a focus on content rather than Bauhaus chrome, and a pursuit of authentic digital experiences rather than nostalgia and object envy.32

WHAT CAN WE LEARN FROM THE BAUHAUS? 1.  Not all material is worthy of celebration. 2.  Beauty is in the details, construction & structure. 3.  Ensuring familiarity without losing brand identity. 4.  Software processes are driving the IxD Bauhaus. 5.  When all facades are glass, it’s hard to know where the door is.33
