  5. 5. a fair, objective, and permissive attitude toward those whose opinions, practices, race, religion, nationality. Tolerance or toleration is the practice of permitting a thing of which one disapproves, such as social, ethnic, sexual, or religious practices. Homosexuality, Tolerance and Original SinThere are many Christians who hold theposition that active homosexuality issinful, but that we must love homosexuals.Increasingly though, taking this position nolonger seems sufficient. If one does notaffirm active homosexuality (at least undercertain conditions) one is labelled as anintolerant, homophobe, lacking in the Biological Impact of Original Sincompassion and pastoral care of Jesus Some suggest recent studies indicating a possible biological component to homosexuality somehow makes such behaviour natural and, therefore, morally acceptable, and something to be tolerated
  6. 6. • We originally titled this section "homosexuality and bisexuality." However, "homosexuality" has since become a snarl word used to express hatred or rejection in some groups, so we are gradually converting the essays in this section over to "lesbian, gay and bisexual" topics, which are http://www.religioustol emotionally neutral. erance.org/hom_beli.ht m• It is probably no surprise to you that a -major conflict exists over equal rights and protections for gays and lesbians, including whether to alter the definition of marriage to include same-sex marriage (SSM). In the U.S., these topics have surpassed in importance even the conflict over abortion access. Even within a single religion, like Christianity, we see an active and apparently irresolvable debate over how persons with a homosexual or bisexual orientation should be treated.
  7. 7. This was an article that we found on theinternet. This clearly state the fact that noteveryone feels comfortable watching thescenes.- By the figures we can see that LGBTcommunity are the minority group
  8. 8. A persons agreement to experience a situation, to follow a process or condition (often a negative or uncomfortable situation) without attempting to change it, protest, or exit. Promoting LGBT Acceptance BELIEVE OUT LOUD is a movement that intends to help churches to live out the Christian principle to accept everyone, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity. This is a campaign that Stonewall fought for the successful introduction of civil partnerships in 2005.
  9. 9. Many people accepts LGBT because it is influenced by celebrities and famous icons. Celebrities influencing the acceptance of LGBT in our society. Lady Gaga’s speech about LGBT equality demanding the acceptance of LGBT in society “Bless God and bless all the Gays”
  10. 10.  The dif ferent attitudes towards LGBT in today’s society is very complex. ACCEPTANCE can actually be TOLERANCE, as some people does tolerate LGBT but doesn’t fully accept it. Therefore there are many charities and movements that promotes the acceptance of LGBT in various ways. The most ignorant “group” towards LGBT would be Religion, as the majority of religious leaders tries to ban the equality between LGBT people. IGNORANCE can be perceived as homophobia and against the law within dif ferent countries laws and regulations. However, it would be very interesting to explore in our documentary the dif ferent attitudes towards LGBT in today’s society.
