  3. 13. <ul><li>What is the first question you want to ask? </li></ul>
  4. 14. <ul><li>B-HCG? </li></ul><ul><ul><li>It was negative, you want to rule out ectopic as cause of hemmoperitoneum in young female patinet </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Pt went for lap where they found 1600 cc of blood and clot in the abdomen and pelvis.  They cauterized a superficial left ovarian vessel which was bleeding. They thought there might be a ruptured cyst on the left.  Right ovary and uterus were normal. </li></ul><ul><li>Hemmoperitoneum in young women likely related to ruptured ectopic or cyst rupture. </li></ul><ul><li>I have seen a number of cases with large volume of hemorrhagic fluid in the abdomen. A few cases have even presented with RUQ pain and acites on ultrasound. </li></ul>
