2. 2. Vox - Populi
From the Latin “Voice of the People”
A collection of opinions from members of the public, gathered in a public place.
“The interviewees are unnamed members of the public giving their answers to the same question” Beaman, 2011 P19
3. 3. Pick a topic, pick a question
What are you trying to prove? Find out? Demonstrate?
Will people have an opinion readily available?
Find a place where you’ll find the right kind of people
Think about the sound.
4. 4. Question
Open question that’s easy to understand
Think about what the vox is going to do in your podcast, show or news report
It is important that you always ask the same question and that it is short and clear. Don’t change the wording from one person to the next - after all, you want the answers to fit together, but they will not fit if you keep changing your question.DeutcheWelle
5. 5. BBC College of Production
6. 6. The kit / checks / technique
Tascam DR100 or HHB Flashmic.
Know how to use them
Record / playback
Use headphones
