  2. 2. Radiator Technical Workshop at TNC19 (20th of June 2019) - Radiator Software Radiator Software ● Former (Australian) Open System Consultants and (Finnish) Arch Red ● Maker of Radiator AAA server software ○ Formerly Radiator RADIUS server software, first version released in 1998

Radiator Technical Workshop at TNC19 (20th of June 2019) - Radiator Software Us, eduroam and TNC ● Arch Red founders connected Finland into eduroam in 2003 (TNC 2003 Zagreb) ● Arch Red has run eduroam top-level RADIUS as production service since 2004 for CSC/Funet ● Radiator is used across eduroam globally from confederation level RADIUS to IdPs/SPs

Radiator Technical Workshop at TNC19 (20th of June 2019) - Radiator Software Radiator AAA server ● Flexible and feature rich AAA server with a support for over 60 different authentication backends ● Radiator implements RADIUS, RadSec (RFC 6614), TACACS+ and Diameter AAA protocols ● Latest version is 4.23, usually two new release versions per a year

Radiator Technical Workshop at TNC19 (20th of June 2019) - Radiator Software New software packages ● New RPM packages for CentOS and RHEL 7 (soon also RHEL 8) ● DEB packages for Ubuntu 16.04, 18.04, and Debian 9 ● New location under /opt with a secure default configuration in /etc/radiator/radiator.conf ● Linux packages using systemd for service start/reload/stop ○ Supports also running multiple instances with different configurations! ● New Windows MSI installer either with or without Strawberry Perl ○ Windows LSA Perl libraries included by default

Radiator Technical Workshop at TNC19 (20th of June 2019) - Radiator Software Latest new Radiator features ● Using Access-Requests instead of Status-Server for RADIUS proxy health check (keepalives) ● <AcctLog FILE>, <AcctLog SQL>, <AcctLog SYSLOG>, and <AcctLog EVENTLOG> for logging Accounting-Requests with configurable formats (also JSON) ● OCSP query and stapling support for TLS: RadSec, TLS based EAP methods, etc. ● Support for Asynchronous AuthBys, other requests are processed in the meantime ● <AuthBy HOTSPOT> to implement Wifi hotspots with subscription plans, quotas and sessions
