Editor's Notes

  1. Not exactly undervalued.. Though the ratio is low at 9% women being at high positions but women do stand at high positions at india and are valued at the extend they extent their time boundaries and dedication towards work.
  2. Today Women in India is judged by the appearance, boss expects a women to work late night hours when she has to look for her family as well. At home she needs to see a family, where she is getting respect. At the same her appearance becomes the talk of the town in office, what she wears to what her habbits, who she is talking to? Everything matters…She can’t smoke or drink, if she does it becomes an ethical issue..
  3. Only 30% of IT employees are women, and get 29% lower salary, reveals report – the Monster Salary Index IT sector Report 2014, released at the Nasscom HR summit being held in Chennai, revealed that the gender pay gap in the IT industry is as high as 29 per cent. While a male IT worker receives a gross salary of Rs 359.25 per hour, women IT staff receive Rs 254.04 per hour. Monster Salary Index (MSI) is an initiative by Monster India along Paycheck.in and IIM-Ahmedabad.
