Staying in a hotel – stripey carpet to bed spinning room, completely crashed and woken up with a mouth feeling like the bottom of a budgies cage and very thirsty, feeling hungover with a pounding headache.Also be selective about what you’re drinking if it’s free? Cheap plonkSometimes we feel uncomfortable about refusing a drink. Peer pressure – pretend your drivingAccording to the NHS website, if you’ve spent the evening drinking depending on how much you’ve drunk you need to allow at least 12 hours before driving the next day to allow the alcohol to leave your system.Top tipsDecide your limitAvoid rounds – you will drink morePace yourself – smaller sips / drink waterKnow what you’re drinking – Go for less alcoholic longer drinksAvoid drinking for the hell of itSay no to top ups – give an excuse – you’ve got to be up earlyIf you’re at company do’s or in bars watch your drink doesn’t get spiked.
