There is no wrong way of holding it. No up, no down.
When you change the direction, the screen will rotate automatically.
Moreover, if a teacher what to show any document or picture to the students, they just need flip it over, then the iPad automatically flips the photo or document to the correct rotation.
From the separate frames, we can see how the photo rotates.
However, when students use iPad to read books, there’s no any affordance to tell them how to read the next page. No arrow, no guide.
