Communication Objective • To create awareness of 100% among education officials in the first 3 months and get their support for the following program. • To create awareness of the MOW of 100% among the superintendents in 1 year. • Implement teachers training program on the MOW and attain the appreciation of 50% of them in 1 year. • Simultaneously, include the Memory of the World in the curriculum (History) in 2 years upon reaching an agreement with the education officials. 4

  6. 6. Communication Strategies • Channel Strategy – Interpersonal Communication – Institutional Communication – Workshop/Training for educators 6

Resource Requirement • Human Resources - Expert on MOW, MOWCAP Ambassador • Financial Resources – Funding to be source from the National budget (Ministry of Education and Ministry of Culture) • Physical Resources - to be provided by Ministry of Education (existing structure) • Material Resources – IEC material to be developed 7

Networking Strategies • Coordination with existing education partners networks, NGO and other relevant organizations • Constant coordination with UNESCO field office for technical assistance, to facilitate coordination with other national and international organization and provision of content of MOW 8

Mainstreaming Strategies • Revision of the history module to incorporate the teaching of MOW • Include the MOW programme in the celebration of relevant international celebration such as international AV Day, International Archives Day, Museum Day, etc. • Include articles and features on the MOW in school newsletter and academic journals • Engaging Oliver Stone [Film director and peace activist] to promote MOW 9
