  9. 9. The Revenue Stream Geolocation-Based Advertising Advertising Market: • Substance abuse clinics and agencies • Private practitioners • Academic Publishers
  10. 10. Importance The “New Leaf” Metaphor The New Leaf App is a vehicle to assist in charting a remedial course of action by taking personal responsibility for change. Affordable, web-based access allows for personal recovery efforts without having to extend the user’s support circle or join any treatment programs* (until and if they are ready)
  11. 11. Personal Platform for Change THE SEED- the germination of an attempt to make personal change. THE BUD - the emergence of resolve and acceptance THE LEAF - the full expression of one’s potential as a substance free individual THE TREE - one leaf among many as a functioning and responsible person in society
  12. 12. THE TEAM Developed the concept with my fellow MIS classmate All application development to be handled by us Business processes (marketing, sales, etc) to be handled internally. All graphic work/web design will be handled by an IUP student graphic designer. Content to rely heavily on "best practices” for validation. Dennis Daley, PhD. , Principle Investigator for NIDA Appalachian Node Dr. Michael Flaherty, Founder of IRETA Peter Luongo, PH.D. - CEO,IRETA Armstrong, Indiana, Clarion, Drug and Alcohol Commission
  13. 13. 14. 14. Required Capital As full-time students, our startup costs for first year of operation would be minimal and product development will based on sweat equity . Server/Technology/Data costs → $1000 Marketing and branding campaign → $500 Legal fees → $500 “An under-capitalized business may be one that cannot afford current operational expenses due to a lack of capital, which can trigger bankruptcy, may be one that is over-exposed to risk, or may be one that is financially sound but does not have the funds required to expand to meet market demand.”
