  2. 2. Overthe years, animatedmovieshave beensteadilyrisingin popularity. Whyanimatedmoviesare so interestingandsuccessful?Basically, itisdue tothe factthat animatedmoviesare acollaborative effortthatmakesan overall filmthateverybodycanrelate to. Animatedmoviesalsomusthave a strongand clear message thatchildrenandadultsalike couldunderstandorevenconnectto.Take ‘Pixar’forexample, majorityof ‘Pixar’moviescontainsaverystrongmessage anda theme sothat everyone wouldbe able tounderstandandrelate to itas well.Usuallyanimatedmoviescompriseof multiple genrein asingle filmsuchas‘WALL-E’whichisan animatedscience –fictioncomedymovie. That way, more people will be interestedandable toenjoythe movie. The twomovieswhichIwill be comparingis ‘The Incredibles’and‘BigHero6’.These twomoviespossessmultiple similarity and individualcharacteristicswhichmake themstandoutamongthemselves. To start off,the primarysimilarity of boththese moviesisthattheyrelate andfocusmore on the family complications.Withthe movie‘The Incredibles’,we getagroup of superpowered abilitiesboundtogetherbyfamily. The storyismainlyaboutasuperherofamilywithasomewhat realisticapproachasit followsthe relationshipbetweenthe motherandfather.RobertParralso knownas Mr Incrediblewashavingamid-lifecrisisandwaskeentowearhisoldsuperherotights again. His wife,HelenParralsoknownasElastic Girl was alreadyputtingheroldlife asasuperhero longago and focusingon livinganormal life.Theirusual householddisputesare prettysimilarand accurate to a normal householdminusthe superpoweraspect. Itexpressedtome whata family shouldbe like asone personcan’tcarry the family, nomatterhow strongone may be.While the othermovie ‘BigHeroSix’talksaboutHiro Hamada,a 14-yearoldrobotic geniusinthe futuristic fictional cityof SanFransokyo.Hiroand hisbrother,Tadashi wasraisedbytheiraunt aftertheir parents’ death. The movie showsthatsometimesfamilycan indeed letusdown.Hiro’sfamily did not purposely lethimdownbuttheywere notbyhisside whenhe neededthemthe most.Butat the end,Hirodid overcome hisproblemswiththe helpof hisclose friends. Moreover, the themesof these moviesshare acertainsimilarityas well. Both‘The Incredibles’and‘BigHeroSix’possessthe theme of teamworkisalwaysthe key.Mostof the time, we believethatwe doneedhelpfromothersinorderto achieve ourgoals.Thatfact couldnot be any furtherfromthe truth. At the climax of ‘The Incredibles’,Syndromewasnota match forthe Incredibles family,Syndromelostthe battle of supremacytothembecause he wantedtowinitall by himself. If onlySyndrome hadateamof alliesorhenchmen,he mighthave awinningchance. In‘Big Hero Six’,all of maincharactersshare a stronginterestinscience and apply theirgiftsinadifferent way.Whenall of themcombine theirgiftstogether, the teammore orlesshasall the capabilitiesto stopany threatas seeninthe climax of the movie. All six of the maincharactersof the movie uses differenttacticsinall of the battlesseenfromthe movie, buttheyall worktowardsthe same goal whichisto stop anythreat fromhappening.Whenplanschange andtheydonotwhat to do,that same goal will make themmore focusand unitesthemtogether. Aside fromthat, thissimilaritymaysoundabit a sillybutisactuallyserious.Inthisdayof age, most of us preferstouse remote television controllersratherthanjustswitchingthe channel manually. We dothisbecause we preferthe convenience andasa resultwe become needyonit. Justlike inthe movie ‘The Incredibles’,Syndrome tieshiswhole evil plantohisabilitytocontrol his killerrobotviaa remote, butonce hisrobotdevelopanAI(Artificial Intelligence) andeveryone else foundoutabout this, itwas hisultimate demise astheyjustfoundhisone weakness.Alongwith‘Big Hero Six’where the villain,Yokai aka Dr. Callaghanusesthe microbotscreatedbyHirofor all of his evil schemes.Hisusesakabuki maskwithaninstalledchipinside tocontrol all of the microbotsto do as he pleases.Usingthe microbotstopindownall the membersof Hiro’steamat the final battle, Hiro suggestedtothe teamto thinkat a differentangle andsucceedingintrickingCallaghaninto

The lastsimilaritythesemovieshave isthatitshowslife worksindifferentways.Life sometimesisunfair.Like in‘BigHeroSix’,Tadashi diedtryingtosave Callaghan, whoburneddown hisownschool to steal Hiro’s creation.Thiscost Tadashi’slife andwhenhe died, itisinevitable to feel aninjustice type of senseasa goodpersonjustdiedfora badpersonbut without thistragedy Hiro wouldneverhadformthe team.Same goesto ‘The Incredibles’as if Mr Incredible didnottreat Syndrome properlywhenhe wasakid,he wouldn’thave turnedouttobe a villaintoeveryone and evencausingthe livesof manyothersuperheroes. In conclusion, animatedmoviesare alwaysenjoyable foreveryoneatanyage due to their storyand contents. Both‘BigHero Six’and‘The Incredibles’share manysimilaritybutapproach themdifferently.Bothof these moviestalksaboutthe issuesthatfamilieshave andevenshoeshow life reallyworksoutthere.
