1. 1. The supporting account. Why is it so important?
 2. 2. The supporting account:

Is based on the notes in your log book

Should be like an ‘essay’, using sentences and paragraphs (does not have to be word processed)

Should be about 700-800 words in length

It should record the process of you making the important decisions that went into creating your practical production

It should be well researched and show analysis (not just ‘stories’ about how you did the filming, etc…)

Is worth 12 + 12 marks = 24

 3. 3. L.I.A.R.
 4. 4. You should discuss:

Language – the camera shots and transitions; the layout and presentation, etc…

Institutions – who makes these media texts? The film companies; the magazine publishers, etc…

Audience – who ‘consumes’ this media text? What do we know about them?

Representation – how have you re-presented people, places, things and events?

LOOK BACK IN YOUR GREEN BOOKS!
