  4. 4.  Many misunderstood Jesus  Herod, Antipas known for political ambitions + debauchery .  Married his brother’s wife  Confronted by John the Baptist.
  5. 5.  Courage is conquering fear.  It is the readiness to go the journey alone.  It is the faith to go the journey alone.
  6. 6. If you follow Jesus – DISPLAY COURAGE!  John stood up for God’s righteousness!  He stood against hypocrisy and sinfulness  He called people to repentance and baptized  But he pushed one couple a little too far… and they pushed back IT WAS HIS PURPOSE ON EARTH TO DO THE WILL OF GOD!!
  7. 7.  The feast arranged out of compassion…  Jesus mourned  Jesus let His feelings be channeled into love.  Jesus supplies our needs  Jesus loves in specific, concrete ways
  8. 8.  Our dead end is His open door  Jesus involves others in His miracles  Jesus won’t ask you to do anything without providing the means  Jesus takes what we have, breaks it, then multiplies it  Give God what you have, then give to others what He gives back to you
  9. 9. what happens when you’re in a storm after the feast?! CRY OUT to the Lord of the storm!
  10. 10. AND WHAT DOES HE DO? He either calms the storm raging outside OR He lets the storm rage and calms his child.
