Truth and Individual Freedom since 1592
The purpose of the Giordano Bruno Institute is to
build a non-profit platform for people to maximize
their use of technology in the 21st century.
It is inspired by the heretic Giordano Bruno,
the book Pull, and the Open AI initiative.
Giordano Bruno was killed in
1600 by the Catholic church
for writing that the earth
revolves around the sun. He
was a maverick, a pain in the
ass, and a truth seeker.

The Solution
Personal data
locker
Secure cloud storage for all your
that can interact with your providers
and give you freedom of choice. A
single dashboard for your digital
life. You are in complete control.
We want to normalize offers, so
you can make a request and see
all the offers come to you,
without advertising. This is like
Kayak does for flights,
things to buy, get a hotel room, a
new job, update your insurance
policy, rent and drive a car, plan a
trip, manage your calendar, etc.
There will be specialist assistants
for medical, legal, financial, etc.

Use Cases
Take any handset, log in, and that handset
becomes your device. You are no longer
tied to any devices. Sit down in an airline
seat, log into the screen, and you are in your
familiar environment. Your personal data is
with you wherever you go.
Get in any car, and as long as you have
permission, that car becomes your car. It has all
your driving history and preferences and
understands when you just get in and say “take me
home.”
Get a prescription and see a map of all
pharmacies that have your pills in stock and
what the prices are. Your personal data locker
has your history of prescriptions, can check for
drug interactions, knows your copay, and helps
you get the best price.
Walk into the doctor’s office, and your
device will say “Would you like me to check
you in?” No filling out forms. All your tests and
doctor’s data will go into your personal data
locker as it is generated.
The idea: separate our data from our devices and our vendors

My name is David Siegel
I’m a technology and business leader from Silicon Valley with a
master’s degree from Stanford. I started one of the world’s
first digital agencies, wrote five books, gave over 200
speeches. I’ve started more than a dozen companies and sat
on many boards. In 2016, I was a candidate to be the dean of
Stanford business school.
I have done this before …
In 2010 I wrote a book about the personal data locker. In 2017, I created the
Pillar Project and launched an ICO that raised $21 million to build the
personal data locker. Because there was a token involved, we had to work to
increase the price of the token. This made it very difficult to build the
product I wanted to build. The app is in the app store now.

Can we talk?
It has to be a nonprofit. I am looking for donors
to give me enough money to hire a world-class
team, similar to what Open AI is doing.
I hope to raise $1 million by the end of 2020 and
$10 million by June 2021.
