  4. 4. Lie: To avoid feeling nervous, stare at the wall at the back… and pretend the audience doesn’t exist.
  5. 5. Truth is, the quickest way to lose your audience is to ignore them.
  6. 6. Instead, make eye contactwith your audience members. This will help you create adeeper connection with your audience.
  7. 7. Lie # 2:Memorize Your Script
  8. 8. Lie: To avoid makingmistakes, memorize yourscript and deliver it like a robot.
  9. 9. Truth is, if you are concentratingon your script instead of focusing on your audience…your audience is going to sense it……and they’re going to tune out of your speech.
  10. 10. Instead, know your mainpoints and your subject so well that you can….talk comfortably without having to memorize your script.
