User’s Manual2.2 Running Initial Setup The first time you power on the AVerTV MediaPort unit, it First installation will automatically display the following menus: In OSD Language option, press ◄ or ► to choose the OSD Language English Area Taiwan language to use for the menus and on-screen display (OSD). In Area option, press ◄ or ► to set Area as your region. Press English OK to confirm the selection. When the installation confirmation dialog box appears, select Yes. Then the AVerTV Mediaport will start to scan the channels in your area. After scanning for available channels, you can start to watch TV. UP DOW N ENTE R BAC KDifferent countries have different TV systems, for example, PAL-BG, PAL-DK, NTSC-M…etc. AVerTV Box functionsonly with the TV system of the country it is manufactured for and originally distributed in. Make sure that you selectthe correct country signal from the menu. To change the area setting, refer to SET AREA (page 11).To ensure that you can select and watch all active channels, refer to section CH SCAN (page 10) on how toautomatically scan and memorize all active TV channels in your area. To access various TV controls, open up Českythe menu displays or press on the remote control buttons. If there are channels missing after you perform CH SCAN, use ALL FREQ SCAN function and repeat the searching process. ALL FREQ SCAN is a very time consuming process. If the default frequency table already includes all active TV channels in your area, then avoid using the ALL FREQ SCAN. In the selected USER CH, enter the new channel number you want to assign or the channel number you want to remove/add to the channel line up. Then, in the CATV CH or TV CH, enter the channel number you want to remap or the channel number you want to remove/add. BACK Use the ▲ or ▼ buttons to select ADD to include or DEL to remove the channel number in the channel line up and then press ►. To browse through channels while setting the USER CH and CATV number, press the ▲ or ▼ buttons. YES Use the ▲ or ▼ buttons to select “YES” to clear all the preset channels and to restore the original factory default picture setting or “NO” to exit. Then press OK. English BACK SLEEP MODE The SLEEP MODE menu allows you to set the time interval for the TV stand-by timer. Press ▲ or▼ to select a time interval and then press ►/OK to confirm your selection. AVerTV Mediaport will automatically go to stand-by mode when it has been left idle for the specified interval time. (By default, the Česky timer is disabled.) Stand-by mode: Power saving sleep mode POWER SAVING POWER SAVING 1. ON 2 . OFF Press ▲ or▼ to select ON or OFF. Select ON to enable POWER SAVING function and decrease the power consumption when turning off the device into stand-by mode. Select OFF to disable the POWER SAVING function. Enable POWER SAVING function will also turn off the device automatically for power saving after 3-hour idle time. AVerTV Mediaport OSD Menu Description Digital TV Main Menu The product provides a menu for users to set up both basic and advanced configurations including “Channel Manager”, “Channel Setting”, “Configuration”, “Output Setting” and “Reset to default”. Choose Channel Sorting to sort your channels by Channel Organizer particular condition. Choose Channel Grouping to group your channels. Channel Grouping Delete All Channels UP DOWN ENTER EXIT Channel Organizer Channel Organizer Press ▲ or ▼ buttons to highlight the desired channel first. Input the password to access the locked channels when viewing. UP DOWN ENTER EXIT Press Blue button to mark the channel as Delete. The deleted channels can only be re-added by Channel Setting. The skipped channels can only be accessed with number buttons. After the favorite channel group is set, it will be shown in the Quick Select Menu. Channel Grouping Channel Grouping To put a channel into one group, press ▲ or ▼ buttons to highlight the Channel name Group desired channel. Press ◄ or ► to switch between different groups.
