Create a game <ul><li>New game – the resource explorer window </li></ul><ul><li>Add a sprite by right clicking </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Sprite properties dialog box allows you to create or alter a sprite </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Create an object </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Assign the sprite to the object </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Assign the movement of the sprite </li></ul></ul>

Creating 2D Space Shooter <ul><li>All of the graphics are available on the cd but you may also substitute your own </li></ul><ul><li>Add the sprites – (the pictures you will use in the game) </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Asteroid </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Space ship </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Shot </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Wall blocks </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Add sounds and backgrounds </li></ul>

Objects in a Space Shooter <ul><li>Turn sprites into objects so that we can interact with them </li></ul><ul><li>Test collisions between the objects to trigger events </li></ul><ul><li>Object Properties window specifies the events that can be triggered for each object and what can happen for those events </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Example: destroy event when the asteroid collides with a shot will trigger the destruction of the asteroid, a sound, and adding to the score </li></ul></ul>
