  2. 2. Question?<br />Why do we require students use quotes in their papers?<br />Answer:<br />To support their claims and assertions<br />
  3. 3. The same is true for instructional presentations.<br />When lecturing, instructors can support their lessons by using video.<br />One way to do this is by embedding video within the presentation. <br />Instructors who load their lectures to their Course-Materials can now allow student to continuously review video associated with the course.<br />
  4. 4. Step 1: Ensure that you have your Developer Tab activated<br />Step 2: Click on the Office Button<br />
  5. 5. Step 2a: Click PowerPoint Options<br />
  6. 6. Step 2b: Make sure Show Developer Tab in Ribbon is checked , then click OK<br />
  7. 7. Step 3: Click on the Developer Tab<br />Step 4: Click on the More Controls button <br />Step 5: Scroll down to Shockwave Flash Object and click OK<br />
  8. 8. Step 6: An object creator icon “+” appears on the screen. Click anywhere you would like your video to be located on the slide and a video placeholder appears. <br />Don’t worry you can always resize.<br />
  9. 9. Step 7: Resize your video place holder.<br />
  10. 10. Step 8: Locate the YouTube video you would like to use in you PowerPoint Presentation<br />Step 9: Copy the URL for the video<br />
  11. 11. You will need to do a simple modification to the URL <br />(Paste the URL to any document in order to modify it)<br /><br />Step 10: Delete “watch?”<br />Step 11: Replace “=“ with “/”<br />Step 12: Copy the modified URL<br />Modified:<br /><br />Delete: watch?<br />Replace: = with /<br />
  12. 12. Step 13: Right click on slide and click on Properties<br />

Step 14: Paste the modified URL into Movie field. <br />Step 15: If you want your video to continuously loop then leave the Loop field “True.” If you want to have control over the video then change the value to “false.”<br />Step 16: Close dialog box and your ready to go. Press F5 to see your video in your presentation<br />
