car speed control using bluetooth

  1. 1. BASAVAKALYAN ENGINEERING COLLEGE BASAVAKALYAN MECHANICAL DEPARTMENT Seminar topic: “CAR SPEED CONTROL USING BLUETOOTH” PRESENTED BY RAHUL GURJAR USN NO: 3BK12ME071 GUIDED BY : PROF. SHIVAJI
  2. 2. ContentsContents Introduction Accident Effects Statistics Bluetooth Equipment Working Components Operation Automatic braking pump and valves Automatic braking systems Functions of hydraulic valves conclusion
  3. 3. INTRODUCTION “DOCTORS COME AFTER ACCIDENT BUT WE ENGINEERS CAN PREVENT ACCIDENT”
  4. 4. World is plagued by accidents. Human errors Need an alert for the driver Checking the speed of the car is important
  5. 5. ACCIDENT High speed leads to accidents. Accident = short distance + high speed
  6. 6. STATISTICS 1 2 3 4 5 61 person dies every 6 minutes 10 are injured in the same frame Indias share of global car accidents is 10% 6% of the worlds road accident deaths happen in India. 1 2 3 4
  7. 7. Death Injuries Traffic problems Loss of asserts
  8. 8. BLUETOOTH Bluetooth can communicate with 8 other devices simultaneously Hence we can check the speed of 8 cars simultaneously Range of communication is up to 100 meters of each other 100 mts
  9. 9. Equipment The group of 8 devices is known as PICONET. PICONET is a collection of master and slaves . The frequency of 2.4GHz is shared among all the devices in the piconet.
  10. 10. Equipment  Master is a device which controls all the devices around it. Slave is a device which is being controlled by a master. • Here A,B are masters and S1 to S6 are the slaves.
  11. 11. >100 mts. • If the distance between two vehicle is within the 100m the Bluetooth devices get enabled. <=100 mts.
  12. 12. •If the distance come closer within 10m the automatic braking system takes the control. <10 mts.
  13. 13. COMPONENTS 1)Speed sensors 2)Pump 3)Valves 4)Controller
  14. 14. • Short distance, low power radio operating in the unlicensed spectrum of 2.4 GHz and using a nominal antenna power of 20 dBm. • At the 20 dB the range is 100 meters, meaning equipment must be Within 100 meters to each other (about 328 feet) to communicate using the Bluetooth standard. • With the help of this technology we can send data to the eight devices.
  15. 15. Automatic braking pump and valves A computer constantly monitors the distance between each of these cars When its senses that the car is getting too close it moves the hydraulic valves to increase pressure on the braking circuit It effectively increasing the braking force on the wheels
  16. 16. • Controls the speed of the car. control signal controller Travelling car braking system start stop AUTOMATIC BRAKING SYSTEM
  17. 17. FUNCTIONS OF HYDRAULIC VALVES In position one the valve is opening ,pressure from the master cylinder is passed right through to the brake. In position two the valve blocks the line ,isolating that brake from the master cylinder This prevents the pressure from rising further should the driver push the brake pedal harder In position three, the valve releases some of pressure from the brake
  18. 18. Advantage It reduces the accident rate It gives the alert to driver Its maintenance is low This technology gives safety
  19. 19. Disadvantage Every car must and should have Bluetooth to communicate with each other Due to the automatic braking system the throttle valve get damage The automatic braking system is some what costlier
  20. 20. • The Bluetooth technology is being widely adopted by the Industry leaders. • The possibility for new applications is very exciting with this Versatile technology. • It provides a simple, logical answer to all the Problems-which is built a single common radio into every mobile computer. • It neither do companies have to worry about WAN, nor do communication companies need to worry about building external cables. CONCLUSION
