I’m now going to walk you through the completion of your profile settings because this is what you’ll see when you sign up form MyFLPBiz and start utilizing this great tool.
The first box you’ll see is a place for you to enter a brief statement about your business and why you joined. This will be displayed on the landing page when you login. Identifying the reasons that you joined Forever Living, and documenting them, helps you maintain your passion and motivation in the business. So begin with the words “I joined Forever Living to….” – and then finish this statement with what you want to do in business and in life, things you want to have and goals you’d like to accomplish. Use clear, concise and motivating statements that you can share and inspire others with. Now you’re going to want to set up your web page so you can begin directing prospects there by choosing a template based on the message that best fits your business and clients’ interests. Keep in mind, Forever Living provides you with the ability to have up to 4 webpages that include templates for Opportunity, Product, Healthy Living and Weight Loss. You’ll be able to select a unique URL for each of your sites.
Step 3 of your profile settings is where you’ll choose your unique myflpbiz email address. Immediately below that box is a place for you to input an alternate email address if you’d prefer to have emails forwarded to an existing account. Keep in mind that if you do put a forward address you will no longer receive email in your MyFLPBiz inbox.
Step 4 displays your distributor contact info that will default on your video messages and ecards, so review this information and make sure it’s correct. Also, notice the box at the very bottom labeled “URL”. Before moving on to step 5, be sure to paste one of the URL’s you just created into the available box. This information will pre-populate on all ecards and video messages that you send out so it’s important that the recipients have up-to-date contact information, and if you’ve provided a link to your website they can go directly to your site from the ecards you send.
Step 5 simply allows for you to input your time zone in order to maintain accuracy when scheduling tasks and events in your personal calendar. If you have a blog, Facebook, twitter, or other social networking sites, you can link them to your MyFLPBiz webpages by entering the links in the associated boxes on step 6. That way your contacts can access your social networks from your webpage. Also, if you do subscribe to some of the aforementioned social networks, I recommend promoting your MYFLPBiz webpages on those sights as well.
The screen that you are currently looking at is your landing page. This is what you will see when you login, not what visitors to your site will see. Let’s take a quick tour of your MY FLP Biz office landing page. Along the top of the screen you’ll notice a number of tabs let’s begin by briefly explaining the benefits of each of these tabs. When clicked on, the “home” tab will direct you to the screen you’re currently viewing or the “landing page”. To the right of that is the “address book” tab. This tab will direct you to your leads, contacts, and email. From here you will also be able to create distribution groups for email as well as print physical mailing labels. The emessaging tab provides you with the ability to send out creative marketing and messaging to your downline, customers and leads. By selecting the “My Page” tab, you’ll be able to set up and edit each of your 4 available webpages. Forever Living provides you with a number of reporting options that enable you to manage your business. Included in this section are reports for active case credits, “Path to Manager” which shows you your status for each rank progressing toward manager; the “close to move up” report will identify which of your distributors are close to advancement so you can then keep in contact with them to help them along with their progression. Also from this screen you can run birthday and anniversary reports on a monthly basis to identify those in your team who are celebrating and at that point you can choose to send them an email or an ecard directly from the results screen. Next to the reports tab is the “calendar” tab. This is where you can add tasks, schedule events and keep track of important business appointments. The tab entitled “name list” is a “memory jogger”. It asks you, the distributor, various questions that are designed to help you in growing your business by considering associates, friends and family members that you might have previously discounted. When you click on the “Dream Book” tab, you’ll be walked through the steps of creating a personal collage of the goals and dreams that you’d like to achieve through Forever Living. If you select the “quick help” tab, you’ll be given an overview of instructions for each module. Notice the box on the right entitled “My goal”. By clicking on the red “choose” button you can upload images from your computer that depict the reasons you joined Forever Living.
Hit the “browse” button to locate the images from your PC. Once you’ve selected those images go ahead and upload them. This could be images of your family, your dream home or car or a desired vacation destination. You can select multiple images to be displayed as a slide show by checking the box below each and then select the time you want each image displayed. Uploading images to this area will not display them on your webpage but will make them available for use in your dream book.
Below that is a box for messaging and announcements from Forever Living corporate. At the bottom of your screen you have a monthly calendar; the “Today at a Glance” section notifies you of any events and tasks that you have scheduled in your MY FLP BIZ calendar. And to the right of that you have graphs depicting case credits by month for the year as well as new distributors each month. In the center on the left you’ll find a facebook feed with info, news and messages from Forever Living Products. The center right is made up of two sections; the top section directs you through different modules within your MY FLP BIZ. Immediately below that is a section for LEADS AND CUSTOMERS”. Here you will be alerted to any new leads to your web page as well as any unread emails that you’ve received to your flp biz account.
Now that you’ve signed up for MYFLPBIZ and uploaded images to the MY GOAL section of your portal, it’s time to identify your WHY. Identifying the reasons that you joined Forever Living, and documenting them, helps you maintain your passion and motivation in the business. So begin with the words “I joined Forever Living to….” – and then finish this statement with what you want to do in business and in life, things you want to have and goals you’d like to accomplish. Use clear, concise and motivating statements that you can share and inspire others with. The “Dream Book” module helps you imagine yourself already in possession of your objectives. Here you can upload personal images and corresponding goals. For example, I’ve used images in my dream book to represent the car I’d like to find myself in possession of, the opportunity being a business owner can give me to spend more time with my son and some images that reflect what my “me time” would look like if time and money weren’t factors. Your dream book collage can then be printed off and displayed in your home or office. Regardless of where it’s displayed be sure to update it regularly with new dreams and then view it often. Your dream book then becomes a fresh, motivating tool for your business.
You have the potential to have a powerful tool with these professionally designed web pages, but to maximize that power, you’ll want to make your sites unique to you. The greatest sales tool that you as a distributor have is your testimony of the products and personal experience in the business and a personal web page is a great way to share that. Also, keep your site fresh with regular business updates and to capitalize on your visibility, link your MY FLP BIZ web pages to social media such as Facebook, Twitter and You Tube. And finally, become and expert: know your business, know your industry and know your source of income.
Once you’ve selected names and templates for each of your sites they can be accessed by going to the My Page tab and clicking on “Manage”. From here you’ll have the ability to select and edit each sight individually. You’ll notice a number of red buttons, each of these buttons allows you to edit the text or choose an image by clicking on it. This gives you the ability to select which products and messages you want displayed as well as allows you to continuously update your site to keep it fresh. By clicking on choose for any of these images, I can determine which image I want displayed as well as the message I want to send.
As you begin directing leads to your site, there are two areas in particular that you’ll want to update. Potential prospects that visit your site are there to do business with you, so it’s important that as you’re editing your website you upload an image of yourself in the associated box…not your cat, or a new Chevy Camaro. Obviously this is not me, this is me. But when I put together this presentation in good faith for my much more charming and better looking boss Peter to present, I knew he’d want to display a flattering image of himself. Unfortunately, due to his devious tactics, you’re stuck with me. So upload an image of you to make this experience more personal for your prospects. The next area over here is where you can share your story with prospects even when you’re not there presenting personally. For those potential customers and team members that you’ve personally directed to your site, it’s going to be the power of your message, your testimonial about Forever Living Products doing great things for your health, and your experience as an independent business owner improving the lives of others and your own by opening doors of opportunity that previously seemed out of reach – that’s what’s really going to ignite their interest.
Now that we’ve selected 4 templates and assigned them each a unique URL, and we’ve personalized them by adding our picture and our story, let’s talk about why the need for multiple webpages. The benefit of having multiple web sites is that it enables you to send the prospect to the right message. It’s important to target different leads with a different message based on their area of interest. This way, the message that I’m sharing is specific to each client. When you begin your own business, it can be very intimidating to approach friends and family. Often we worry about offending someone and compromising a relationship or perhaps about being rejected. So, for instance, if I’m worried that an associate of mine would not be receptive to learning about the Forever Living business, I can instead direct them to my healthy living website. There is an international interest in health and wellness right now, so inviting them to my site is an unobtrusive way to share Forever Living’s message. At that point I’ve opened the door for them to ask questions and perhaps now I can present Forever Living to them or direct them to my additional sites. Also, having multiple pages will increase your exposure on the internet.
A personal web page can be a great business tool. It enables your business to be open 24/7, providing product and opportunity information as well as allowing customers to order around the clock. But like any other tool, you have to put it to use. Let’s talk about some ways you can do that. In the right hand corner your site URL will be displayed. Once you’ve set up each of your sites I encourage you to register each URL with Google by going to the “Page Setup” tab and choosing “register site”.
From this screen you’ll paste the associated URL into the appropriate box and click the “add url” button. Registering your website with Google will enable your site to be included in relevant search results.
Next go back to “Page Setup” and choose “keywords”.
In the box labeled “Meta Keywords” you should enter terms and phrases that are relevant to your business so that when people enter any of those terms into a search engine like Google or Yahoo it will increase the likelihood that your site will be returned in the search engine results.
One more step I’d like you to take while setting up your sites is to go back to “Page Setup” and select the “Lead Collector”.
This will allow you to choose the information that you want collected from visitors to your site by either checking or removing checks from the boxes at the left. The boxes on the right allow you to determine what information you want potential leads to be required to leave. Below that you may enter a message to be displayed to any visitors.
From this screen you will also want to verify the email address in which your lead notifications will be sent. Another cool option that you have is to enter your cell phone number and provider information, if you choose to do this, you will also receive an alert via text message notifying you of new leads to your webpage.
When a visitor clicks on the “contact me” option from your webpage, they’ll be prompted to enter the contact information that we just specified in the “lead collector”. Once a lead has submitted that information, an email notification will be sent to the email address you entered as well as your cell phone and you will also receive a new lead alert on your MyFLPBiz home page. With these 4 webpages you have the opportunity to direct potential customers and distributors to your site to learn about Forever Living, so make sure you publicize your sites by printing your URL’s on business cards, emails, ecards and any other printed forms of communication you may have because in order to maximize the benefits of your webpage, you have to drive people to them.
We’ve set up and promoted our webpages and have established our Why. Now it’s time to create your contact list.
The average person can name 400 people. Think of everyone you know and add them to your list. The name list or ‘memory jogger” prompts you for names of neighbors, members of your church congregation, plumbers, soccer moms and more. As you go through the prompts and enter names and contact information, they are automatically added to your MY FLP BIZ address book. Another great tip for creating your contact list is to exchange business cards with everyone you meet and ask for referrals from them and those you identify on your list.
MY FLP’s “calendar” tab can help you with organizing your business. Under this tab, you have the ability to add a task such as scheduling follow ups with potential leads or entering an event such as a team meetings or informative classes.
Let’s look at scheduling an event. You can also schedule recurring meetings on your calendar by selecting the frequency for which they occur.
The events and task tabs will store each event, appointment or task that you’ve added, enabling you to review these at anytime and check them off as you complete them.
On your MyFLP BIZ landing page, under the section entitled “today at a glance” you will be alerted to any events or tasks that you have entered and scheduled for that day.
Along the top of your screen you’ll find a tab entitled “reports”, during our brief over view at the beginning of this conference I listed some off to you. You also have a Graphical and Linear view report. The Linear View report is the only place for you as a distributor to see all the generations for your downline. Personal information will only be displayed for your first generation, but all Case Credits and names will be displayed for all generations. For each of these reports you have the ability to target specific information by narrowing the parameters of the search criteria. This enables me to send very targeted messaging and marketing to particular groups within my business, because I can send email, ecards and text and video messages from each of these reports. When I send messages this way, my efforts are more productive and my communications more relevant.
