Sterilization procedure for Dental instruments:STAGE 1:Soaking:After use, all the instruments from eachpatient are dipped in an antisepticsolution. This ensures safety of both thepatient and the healthcare worker.STAGE 2:Scrubbing:All instruments are scrubbed usingautoclaved brushes to remove the debris.
STAGE 3:Ultrasonic water bath:The instruments are kept in anUltrasonic cleaner to shake off all thedebris.STAGE 4:Packaging:All instruments are packed insterilization rolls and heat sealed.
STAGE 4:Autoclaving:i. International standards require the use of a Class B autoclavei. A Prion cycle at 134°C is used by us for all surgical instruments.ii. STAGE 5:Storage:Instruments are packed and stored along with theirvalidation indicator strip.
STAGE 6:Before use all stored instruments are checked for dateof sterilization and santity of heat seal.
