  6. 6.  The medium of education in India is mostly English in all the cities and towns.  Most of the Education system is run by the Franciscan, Jesuit, Dominican, Augustinian priests and nuns.  Mission ~ Christian formation of the students, enriching creativity and love of learning, right attitudes and interests and essential skills.  The Catholic missionaries took to establishing schools, hospitals, and charitable institutions such as nursing homes, orphanages, and dispensaries.
