Perm Nature Is In Danger.

 1. 1. Perm Nature Is In Danger This fragile nature cries for your help
 2. 2. The Perm Territory is one of the main industrial centres in Russia. More than 500 factories and plants of different types are located here. Annually machine-building, chemical, fuel, woodworking, pulp and paper industries successfully release a large amount of production providing the Territory with the goods of vital necessity and making a sufficient contribution to the development of Russian economics. But each day every factory leaves so many poisonous wastes that the city almost drowns in it. Year by year the Territory turns in a very dangerous zone to live in.
 3. 3. AIR CONTAMINATION The first thing which worries ecologists is the condition of the air we breathe. Throughout 2006-2007 the amount of polluting substances released in the atmosphere has increased in comparison with the previous years and formed 449 000 tons.

The main components of the toxic mass are:

methane

nitrogen

sulfur

carbon oxide

 4. 4. The main reasons for negative influence are

Release of industrial

plants

Old technologies and ineffective cleaning equipment

Increasing amount of transport

The most polluted area includes Perm, Chusovoy, Solikamsk, Berezniki, Chaikovsky.
 5. 5. WATER POLLUTION The quality of water in Perm reservoirs falls short of standard demands. Ecology experts assess its condition as “very dirty”.

The main toxic products poured out into rivers are

mineral oils

phenols

copper

manganese

The amount of sewage sludge leaked in 2007 includes 448 000 tons
 6. 6. The main factors of water pollution

inefficient cleaning technologies

inadequate removal of oil spillage

 7. 7. ACCUMULATION OF CONSUMPTION WASTES (SOIL POLLUTION) The accumulation of solid wastes is one of the most acute and complicated ecological problems of the Perm Territory. The industrial and consumption wastes have made up the amount of more than 670 tons.
 8. 8.

breaking the rules of keeping industrial wastes

untimely removal and utilization of consumption wastes

imperfect system of recycling

What leads to the pollution of soil?
 9. 9. CONCLUSION If we don’t start today, tomorrow it will be too late! In the Perm Territory by the human’s side many animals and birds live and a lot of plants grow which are already in the Red Book. These creatures also need some place to live, air to breathe and water to drink . Let us save the nature from its sufferings and keep it for the future generations!
