Register  Phone  •  To  register  your  phone,  you  need   1.  Windows  Live  ID   2.  App  Hub  Developer  Account   3.  Zune  client  soLware  installed  on  your  computer   4.  Windows  Phone  SDK  7.x  •  Deploying  apps  to  WP7  is  free  for  students!   –  When  creaPng  App  Hub  account,  select  student   account   –  You  must  verify  that  your  are  a  student  using   Dreamspark  –  site.  All  you  need  is  a  e-­‐mail  account   from  some  university.

PiSalls  •  If  you  get  “error  occurred”  when   using  App  Hub  with  the  student   account,  this  means  in  MS  –  land,   that  you  must  visit  xbox.com  and   check  that  your  billing   informa:on  is  correct!  •  If  you  have  wrong  country  code,   you  cannot  change  it!   –  So  don’t  ever  move  to  another   country!  Only  way  to  resolve  this  is   to  create  new  live-­‐account  
  4. 4. Windows  Phone  RegistraPon  Tool  •  Connect  your  phone  using  USB-­‐cable  to  computer  •  Start  “Windows  Phone  RegistraPon”  tool:  
  5. 5. Choose  “Device”  in  Visual  Studio  and   Deploy!

For  Mac  OS  X  Users  •  WP7  emulator  does  not  run  on  virtual   machine  (Parallels,  Virtual  Box,  Fusion)  •  Use  Boot  Camp  and  run  Windows  naPve  if  you   want  to  use  the  emulator  •  It’s  possible  to  use  the  Boot  Camp  parPPon  in   virtualizaPon  soLware  and  deploy  your  apps   to  phone
