  1. 1. We need two techs to provide floor support for our Vernon Hills location. Since they will be visiting our Coworkers,they will need to be customer service focused and professional in both demeanor and appearance. Attitude is key.Because they will be working on projects as well, there may be a need for some second shift work or weekend work.Summary: This role is to assist the CDW IT Service Desk with providing desktop support and project supportto our CDW internal Coworkers in our Vernon Hills location. The technician will also be assisting withvarious IT projects.Education/Experience- High School Diploma or GED- Minimum of 2 years in Technical Services desktop support role- A+ Certification-Remedy Experience a plus-Bitlocker Experience a strong plus- Previous experience in the Configuration and Repair roles a plus.Skills and Competencies- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, specifically Windows 7 and XP- Working knowledge of Ghost and Imaging a strong plus- Working knowledge of Desktops, Laptops, printers, monitors, and basic networking.- Working knowledge of MSOffice Suite, Outlook, and general software install and troubleshooting- AS400 Client configuration a plus- Professional and positive attitude a must- Strong oral and written communication skills.- Strong problem solving and analytical skills..- Ability to multitask effectively.- Must be able to lift 50lbs.- ** Must be able to work occasional nights and weekend for project support**Major Job Duties and Responsibilities- Assists Service desk with desktop support requests, installs, and PC setups.- Upgrade/ reimage Desktops and Laptops.- Follows guidelines on backing up data, documenting coworker settings, reimaging pc, and testing pcfunctionality.- Documents all issues and work as necessary.- Provides excellent customer service and remains professional at all times.- Utilizes all given resources to resolve problems.
