1. Emergency Plumbing Services
Plumbing emergencies can occur without warning. If the scenario is truly no emergency, it would be
much better to schedule a plumbing service phone during regular calling hours as emergency rates
usually are valued more than typical plumbing maintenance prices.
A word of warning: If you have propane or gas and you smell fuel inside the house, turn off the main
device (where the fuel comes into the house) and call for service immediately!
These will be the five major reasons for a plumbing emergency. Here are some valuable
troubleshooting methods you can test before calling for assistance after hours.
No-Heat?
1.) Check the thermostat. Is it off or rejected?
2.) Check the burner switch. Usually situated near your heater, it looks like a light switch using a
red switch plate. Often this gets switched off in error.
3.) Check your oil tank. Are you out of gas?
4.) Check the burner reset button. Gas furnaces have a red colored reset switch about the burner
itself. Drive to reset. If it visits again, demand service.
5.) Check the circuit breaker panel. Reset tripped breaker just once. If it trips again, call for service.
2. No Water?
1.) Verify the pump circuit breaker inhouse screen. Reset once. If it visits again, you may typically
wait until morning to plan something phone.
2.) Check the pressure tank gauge.
3.) Verify your checkbook! Did you pay your water bill?
No Warm Water?
1.) Check all hot water features in the home.
2.) Examine the circuit breaker internally section.
For those who have an electrical heated water reservoir, reset breaker. If it visits again, do not
reset. Demand service. When you have a tankless coil water heater, and you heat with oil, follow
methods for "no-heat." In case you have a gas hot water tank, don't reset breaker or re-light pilot.
Shutoff fuel valve and necessitate assistance quickly.
Leaking Pipe?
1.) Turn off main water valve, or gate valve to that damaged pipe plumber to install my new boiler.
2.) Call for plumbing repair.
Note: A damaged pipe does not necessarily require 24-hour emergency assistance. However, once a
place becomes saturated behind sheet rock or rug gets unhealthy, mold may emerge within 36
hours. Some plumbers provide emergency water extraction solutions, along with mold remediation
and restoration. Do not ignore a leaking pipe before you will get around to solving it. It can create a
much larger problem the longer you wait!
Clogged Drain?
1.) Determine the origin of the block. You'll find the foundation by running water in other sinks in
the home. If all pipes back up, then the source of the clog is inside the soil pipe itself. Demand
support to root it out. If it's the bathroom, drop it. If it's only 1 sink drain, check underneath for a
remove trap. You are able to unscrew the plug at the end and pull out the blockage.
2.) If all drains are blocked, or you are struggling to unclog the trap yourself, demand plumbing
company. Don't use liquid plumber or related products.
