What is Google?<br />Search engine: find the correct answers to what you want to know<br />Connects you to numerous sources that provide you with adequate information about what you want to learn more about<br />Not only can you find information on specific topics, you can search images and even maps and news around the world<br />

History<br />Founded in 1996 by two Stanford students<br />Larry Page and Sergey Brin<br />BackRub to Google<br />mathematical term which started with a 1 and ended in a 100 zeros<br />WORLD WIDE WEB<br />1998-2000: first employees, starting the company<br />2000 to present: Google was rolling in millions of dollars <br />10 different languages <br />Team up with yahoo<br />Google maps are launched<br />2010- overwhelming success. <br />Apps areintroducedand the most widely used search engine was more efficient and faster than ever before. <br />When Google started trading with other systems, Page and Brin became instant millionaires.<br />

  7. 7. Uses<br />Schools, universities, homes and in the office. <br />Phone! If you need to pull something up quickly, Google can be reached in a second. <br />

How is it a web 2.0 tool?<br />Google is a web 2.0 tool in the sense that it is a search engine in which people can access information. <br />Google leads you to the websites that you can find the information from, and allows you to click on links leading to the information your looking for.<br />
