  • Fusing the Real and Digital Worlds

Ie the world we live in and its digital reflection

We need to close the productivity gap in order to increase efficiency and productivity

The world is not build of single customers but of ecosystems that integrate technology between sectors and so gain synergies. Hexagon offers the possibility to use smart data to make smart decisions.
  • TALK TO THE CHALLENGES/NEED IN AG...

Feed a population of 9billion people by 2050
Achieve MDG Target to half the number of people suffering from hunger by 2015
Rise of the middle class will change consumption

Closing the productivity gap will have an significant impact on agriculture and economic growth in rural areas.

Africa has experienced continous agricultural growth in recent years but much of this growth has stemmed from expansion rather than increased productivity.

Agriculture is more than just farming, it is part of a complex and far-reaching system that comprises many steps that take an agricultural product from the field to the consumer : including research, technology developments, meteology, farming production, commodity trading, processing and conditioning, handing and storage, logistics and transportation, and marketing.
  • TALK TO WHAT WE ARE DOING IN AG...

Resource Optimisation (land, water, fertilizers, pesticides, seeds etc.)
    Automate farm equipment
Variable crop management for custom farm areas (planting, irrigation, fertilization)
    Increase productivity
    Reduce waste and soil erosion
    Increased crop yields
  • Governments need to integrate geospatial data within their business workflows such as municipal planning and management, land use planning, and infrastructure management. With GeoMedia Smart Client, non-GIS users around your enterprise can have access to all required geospatial and business data to do queries, spatial analyses, reporting, and plotting. Using enterprise administration tools, you can easily control what data is available to each user to ensure appropriate data access, and not confuse your users with too much data. And, using configuration tools and services, the user interface can be configured specific to each workflow, thus focusing the user experience on your business. GeoMedia Smart Client also provides local caching of geospatial data for high performance visualization.

  • Governments need to manage and maintain geospatial databases across the enterprise. GeoMedia Smart Client provides a rich vector editing environment with topological editing, geometric snaps, and dimensioning tools. These tools can be used out of the box, or as part of configured user interfaces tailored to specific business workflows. For example, parcels can be captured or edited as part of a cadastre planning/development workflow with built-in data quality checks, thus enabling non-GIS users around the enterprise to participate in maintaining your geospatial databases.

So, for our geospatial customers, we are pleased to introduce GeoMedia Smart Client which we believe is a Smarter Way to Enable Your World.

    9. 9. 7/9/2014 ©2012 Intergraph Corporation 9 Smart Analysis To execute a precise soil analysis, the first step is to collect geolocated soil samples. Smart Agriculture can help you define where the samples should be collected. The data from the sample analysis is input to the software and interpolated with special algorithms. The results are recommendations of the correction/fertilisation maps that can be used in the VRA equipment.
    10. 10. 7/9/2014 ©2012 Intergraph Corporation 10 Web Portal – Smart Decisions The web portal enables all agribusiness personnel to access information about the plantation. Graphically select the areas and retrieve data on status, productivity, resources and other agricultural activities Centralised way to manage and visualise geographic-related farm information Provides decision makers a fast and simple way to:  Store and retrieve geo-based information (actual and historical)  Analyse and cross-analyse geo-based information  Easy integration with third-party software tools for visualisation and analysis
