I graduated in 2008 from Ghent University as an engineer in architecture with a theoretical master thesis about the conception of an integrated architectural design environment relying on available information and communication technologies. The research proposal that followed this master thesis resulted in a PhD position at the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning in Ghent University, funded by the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO). In this PhD research, which I finished in 2012, I investigated how and to what extent information system support may be provided for architectural design thinking.
