Also known as Halloween or
Night of the Dead, is a
celebration of Celtic origin
celebrated primarily in the United
States, Canada, Ireland, the UK
and non-Anglo countries like
Mexico and Colombia on the
night of October 31. It has roots
in the Celtic festival of Samhain
and the Christian holiday All
Saints' Day. In large part, is a
secular celebration but some
believe it has a religious
background.
TO KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED

To keep your eyes peeled' means to stay alert and look out for
something or someone.
A modern jack-o'-lantern is typically a carved pumpkin.
It is associated chiefly with Halloween.
An image, usually a monstrous face, is carved out, and the lid
replaced. The name is associated with Irish folklore about 'Stingy
Jack' who played tricks on the Devil.
Jack -o´- lantern…
• A jack-o'-lantern is a carved pumpkin on hand, associated with the
holiday of Halloween. It takes its name from the natural
phenomenon known as foxfire To make a jack-o'-lantern is generally
taken a giant pumpkin, removed the top of the pumpkin as a cover,
and then extract the pulp inside; on the outer surface is carved an
image, usually a monstrous face. At night a candle is placed inside
to create a luminous effect. The term jack-o'-lantern is not common
outside the United States, although it is the practice of carving
  pumpkins for Halloween.
SWEETS AND BISCUITS
• Halloween children, going from house to house asking for
candy and biscuits,The day is often associated with the
colors orange, black and purple and is strongly associated
with symbols like the jack-o'-lantern. Typical activities
include the famous Halloween trick or treating and
costume parties, plus bonfires, visiting haunted houses,
jokes, reading scary stories and watching movies on
    terrorism.
COSTUMES OF HALLOWEEN
• The tradition of "dressing
    up" and make the famous
    "Halloween costumes" on
    Halloween night is
    relatively recent. Today,
    on Halloween night,
    gangs roam the streets
    dressed boys with their
    pumpkins.

    People dress because it
    is part of Halloween, also
    because costumes are
    used to represent the
    death.
MAKE - UP
The make – up of halloween is terrorific. No
costume is complete without the right
makeup. People wear makeup to give a
sense of fear to get inside the character's
death.

You can make up of: zombie,
                                         vampire,beldam,skeletons, ghosts,and
                                         werewolves.
