Based on in-depth research on many businesses, this methodology is a fast, easy and accurate way to evaluate the chances of success of your business model.

The PIMENTO MAP is designed to analyze wether a business plan represents a good opportunity or not. Once you have set up your business model, PIMENTO MAP will allow you to confront it with the internal and external factors that influence the development of a business: customers, competitors, revenue streams, and so on. The model is interesting because it integrates all these parameters in a systemic manner. After completing 18 questions - divided in the five circles - , you will immediately see the strong and the weak points of your project as well as how the different tiles in the puzzle tie in to each other.


The PIMENTO MAP is not only useful for startups. Its philosophy can also be applied in a more mature business environment in which choices must be made among several development alternatives (geographic expansion, partnerships, new products…). Over time, users have found it to be an excellent tool for structuring discussion at Board meetings in which internal influence and personal ambitions come into play, with the dangerous subjective overtones that can result.
