Managing page numbering in Word

  1. 1. Instructions on how to compile your document without losing the page numbering Office word 2007
  2. 2. <ul><li>Step 1 </li></ul><ul><li>Click on the top of your main document and make a page break (next page) </li></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>Step 2 </li></ul><ul><li>Double click the page number to enter into header menu and uncheck “link to previous” </li></ul>
  4. 4. <ul><li>Step 3 </li></ul><ul><li>On the previous empty page (also numbered page 1) </li></ul><ul><li>Either delete the number or change the numbering scheme (ie roman numerals). </li></ul><ul><li>And your done ! </li></ul>
  5. 5. <ul><li>Extra – portrait & landscape pages in one document </li></ul><ul><li>Using the same page break function and unchecking the “link to previous” will allow for more than one section ( each one with a page orientation of its own </li></ul>
