  4. 4. Bauer Media• Bauer Media are part of the Bauer Media Group that spread its publishing groups with 300 magazines worldwide and other media platforms of online, TV and radio. However their most popular media publishing in the UK is magazine print and radio. Many of their magazine concepts having been transferred to radio (Kerrang- Kerrang radio).
  5. 5. IPC Media• IPC Media creates many different media across many different types of platforms. They create magazine genres for print, online, mobile and tablet forms but in the UK they are mostly known for their print magazine. They have an audience of 26 million adults, mostly women. Their websites also appeal 25 million people every month.
  6. 6. BBC• One of the most popular magazines in the UK, BBC magazines produce many different genres of magazines from children to music to food and lifestyle. They therefore have a large target audience overall meaning they are successful and sell more copies of their magazine.
  7. 7. EMAP• EMAP is a British company that specialize in magazine production but they also create radio stations too and organise events. They have created 59 magazines in total. Their most popular magazines are Smash Hits and Nintendo Official Magazine. They reached 2 million people per month.
  8. 8. Why Do People Create Magazines?Companies create magazine because they are still apopular form of media that can reach across manypeople. In order to keep up with the times and to ensurethey still have an audience to carry producing magazinesfor, magazine production companies now need to createdigital formats of their magazines. With this in mindstill, magazine can reach across many age groups, socialclasses and background, giving information andentertainment for a mass group of people. With such alarge amount of magazine readers and targetaudience, magazine still can make a profit fromproduction, but these days this production may have tobe on a digital format.
