Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.
We don’t get a chance to do that many things, and every one should be really excellent. Because this is our life. Life is brief, and then you die, you know? And we’ve all chosen to do this with our lives. So it bet ter be damn good.It better be worth it.
Do you want to spend the rest of your life selling sugared water or do you want a chance tochange the world?
I’m convinced that about half of what separates thesuccessful entrepreneurs from the non-successful ones is pure perseverance.
But it’s a disservice to constantly put things in thisradical new light - that it’s going to change everything.Things don’t have tochange the worldto be important.
I have looked myself in the mirror every morningand asked myself: ‘If today were the last day ofmy life, would I want to do what I am about todo today?’ And whenever the answer has been‘No’ for too many days in a row, I know I need tochange something.
Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know toavoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You arealready naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.
The only way to do great work is tolove what you do.If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking.Don’t settle. As with all matters of theheart, you’ll know when you f ind it.
