  6. 6. STATEMENT OF INTENTThe themes of my radio drama are crime, mystery and murder, theseare themes that I know very well as, I have an interest in them andmost books and film I have read in the past have consisted of thesethemes. I also believe that I am perfect for writing this radio dramabecause I have had this idea for a very long time and have evenprepared a script for it in the past, so I know it very well. I knowthat I want it to be very exciting by not giving it a linear stricter andadding flashbacks and narration. I also want it to be very thrillingand exciting for the audience and I want it to leave theme thinkingand dazzled by the cliff-hanger ending of it.
  7. 7. STORYLINEZarrah is having coffee with her Angelika on a normal Mondaymorning, when a receptionist comes and tells her to go to MrJacksons Office, she walks into the office and he tells her she ispromoted to level 8. She moves her belonging to her new office andthen realizes that her office is really silent (no phone calls). Shethen notices that she is the only person left on her floor and just asshe is about to leave she receives and phone call from an unknowncaller. The phone call tells her that she has until midnight tosuccessfully rob seven billion dollars from the mango company andfailing to do so, will result to a brutal death of her and her family.

  9. 9. TARGET AUDIENCEAGE: 15 – 28(Individuals younger would find the radio drama too complex and individualsolder might not appreciate the action packed thriller like theme of the narrative).GENDER: BOTH(both audiences would enjoy the story although its mainly male audiences thatenjoy this genre).ETHNICITY : ALL(A person’s ethnicity isn’t a factor when categorising my target audience).STEREOTYPING: STUDENTS AND WORKING INDIVIDUALSThe stereotype of my target audience are students and working individuals, thesepeople are generally busy, and have a daily routine (9 to 5), so I would take this inconsideration when deciding the time slot for my radio dramaSOCIO-ECONOMIC GROUP: E, (C1/C2)Due to the fact that majority of my audience would be students and individualsfrom group (E) and both (C1/C2) this would make my radio drama appeal to themiddle class.
