Portuguese Gastronomy

  1. 1.  The Port is a natural and fortified wine produced exclusively from grapes from the Douro Wine Region, in the north of Portugal about 100 km east of Porto.
  2. 2.  Chicken Soup is a soup made rice-based. The main variation is the chicken soup, which has in the popular culture of the country a strong belief in their medicinal properties, particularly in combating flew.
  3. 3.  Portuguese stew is a traditional Portuguese dish. It is a delicacy composed of a variety of vegetables, cooked meats and sausages. With respect to plants, they can be cooked beans, potatoes, carrots, turnips, cabbage and rice.
  4. 4.  Sardines on the grill is a traditional dish of Portuguese cuisine, originating in the region of Lisbon and Tagus Valley and is one of the 7 Wonders of Gastronomy of Portugal.
  5. 5.  The rice pudding, also known as rice function and milk rice is a dish made of rice cooked in milk and sugar, flavored with lemon peel, cinnamon sticks, orange flower water, cloves etc., and general sprinkled cinnamon.
