  • I have heard about this questions (slide 7) but I never have read a response that is compelling enough. Doesn't have to be truthful or rightful just a good case to have this.

    Here are some ideas:
    - Because you eventually will need to
    - To communicate with the rest of the world
    - To be informed about the world (is the new newspaper)
    - So you can save money (phone bill, Cable bill)
    - To access knowledge
    - To make money (invest)
    - To pay bills (online banking)
    - To help your kids or see your grandkids

About Plan Ceibal and OLPC <ul><li>CEIBAL: Program of Uruguayan government </li></ul><ul><li>Giving 1 computer for every child in school (6 to 11 years). 350.000 laptops. </li></ul><ul><li>Work with them on school and at home </li></ul><ul><li>WiFi access in schools and public spaces </li></ul><ul><li>Using XO computers from OLPC </li></ul><ul><li>Other OLPC projects in many countries </li></ul><ul><li>(big in Peru, Rwanda and Mongolia) </li></ul>
