  3. 3. Opening Ceremony S PFLCW President, Ms. Rosalind Wee, called the General Assembly to order at 3:00PM. S Ms. Anacorita P. Portugal, President of the Local Council of Women-Batangas Province, delivered an opening statement and welcomed everyone to Batangas City.
  4. 4. S Batangas Board Member Christopher de Leon S Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri’s better half, Audrey
  5. 5. S Governor Vilma Santos- Recto of Batangas delivered the keynote address and warmly greeted the delegates.
  6. 6. Most Distinguished Award for Lifetime Women’s Advocacy S Hon. Austere A. Panadero S Undersecretary for Local Government S Department of the Interior and Local Government.
  7. 7. PRESIDENT’S REPORT S PFLCW President, Ms. Rosalind L. Wee, reported to the plenary that as a result of the resolution and recommendation created by the delegates of the 9th General Assembly, Former DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo issued memorandum circular 2012-105 on June 6, 2012.

AWARDS S Search for Outstanding LCW of the Year S JUDGES: S Ms. Emmeline Versoza, Executive Director of the Philippine Commission on Women; S Veronica Villavicencio, Executive Director of the Peace and Equity Foundation; and S Ms. Anne Serrano, Consultant on Senior Gender and Development of United Nations Development Programme.

  15. 15. TOPIC COVERED S Lobbying for the Women Economic Empowerment Agenda at the LGU S Dr. Sharifa Pearlsia Ali-Dans, Assistant Secretary of DILG- ARMM, presented several approaches on advocating for women economic empowerment agenda at the local level.

BREAK OUT SESSION S 1) Issues, concerns and effects of the Implementation of Magna Carta Law of Women (RA 9710) in the Localities S 2) Initiative of Private & Government Sectors in Supporting Women Economic Empowerment S 3) Assessment of the LCW linkages with national government agencies for women economic empowerment (DOLE, DOST, DTI, DA, DOH and DSWD)
  17. 17. Dinner and Hawaian Luau Night S Donning their best Hawaiian costumes, delegates were afforded a glimpse of Batangan hospitality and cultural entertainment at the Batangas City Convention Center hosted by Mayor Vilma Abaya-Dimacuha.
  18. 18. Closing Program S Dr. Ramona B. Raneses presented the results of the break out session. The delegates adopted the recommendations (see RESOLUTION NO. 003 SERIES 2012). S Mayor Evelyn Uy gave the closing remarks by thanking the delegates and the LCW members behind the success of the General Assembly. S More than 50 participants joined the Batangas Province Eco-Livelihood Tour
