  • Dracula doesn't mean 'junior dragon' or 'little evil' in Romanian. From where did you get this inaccurate information? Back in the 15th century, the meaning of Dracula was son of Dracul, Dracul being Vlad II Dracul. Vlad III Dracula (also known as Dracula or Vlad the Impaler) was Vlad II Dracul's son. And Vlad II Dracul got his name from the Order of the Dragon. In Latin, 'draco' means 'dragon'.
