Peter Loftin's success as an entrepreneur has allowed him to spend time contributing to various charitable activities. After purchasing the former home of Italian fashion designer Versace and turning it into a high-society restaurant in 2000, Loftin donated the restaurant's space to numerous charitable events held by the Miami International Film Festival, Scoliosis Research Society, and the Alonzo Mourning Foundation, among other organizations. This and other local contributions were honored by the city of Miami Beach with a certificate of appreciation in 2006. Peter Loftin built his wealth by founding the telecommunications company Business Telecom, Inc.
