Wearable Ceramics by Peter Hoogeboom, jewelry designer living and working in Amsterdam, Netherlands. We have been using clay to adorn ourselves with since the dawn of man. Body painting with clay and other natural pigments existed in most, if not all, tribalist cultures and it still does. In his work Peter Hoogeboom wants to return to the function of clay as body adornment, using it in its fired state in an innovative way, which in contemporary design seems to be reserved for the use of clay as a vessel.
