Level Main Objectives Secondary Evaluation 1 Activate previous knowledge. Positive 2 Identify specific information in a conversation. 3rd 3 Participate in conversation. Medium 4 Grow interest in the course book. 4th Negative Grammar Contents : Verbs with more than one word (There to be). Word Stress Context: Robots and space. Methodology: Eclectic. We pay special attention to the function of the linguistic, strategies, grammar, vocabulary, in communicative contexts. This is the presentation of the course, so dialogue is enhanced. In this particular session, students must find technical words in the picture and put them in the correct column, they must also listen and answer questions and match the android’s answers in the capsule to the correct section on the form, also they must fill some gaps in sentences, and write one or two word answer for every one of the six questions. Pair work: role play as human and android. They are also expected to explore their new course book in this section and fill a chart. Yes / No Initial assessment: Diagnostic tests Positive Medium Negative Notes Assumed Knowledge. Adverbs of frequency. Pre-teaching. Robots, androids and outer space. Cross curricular topics: 1 Moral and civic education, 2 Education for peace, 3 Education for same opportunities between sexes, 4 Environmental education, 5 Education for health, sexual education and highway code, 6 Education in a consumer’s society. Timing: Though it varies from class to class, it is advisable to stay about five minutes per exercise. It may look too optimistic, but classes have only 55 minutes, and every page in this book appears to have been thought to be taught in a single period. Also, we must bear in mind that some exercises lean on one another, like 2 and 3 on page 4, which is in fact only one, whilst exercise 4 and 5 are linked by a common photo and text. Activity 6, however, is easier to do, so three or four minutes should bee enough. So, my recommended timing is: Activity Minutes 1 5 2 4 Programación de Aula de Universe 1.
