Charles Zlock 2015-16 KRAs and SMART Goals KRA #1 – PERSONAL INTEGRATION: Attend to the four dimensions of “Pastores Dabo Vobis” that specifically apply to me (not others or the parish) so that I:  Remain healthy as a person,  Grow in my sanctification,  Am effective in my ministry SMART Goals: Human Dimension: 1. Weekly - exercise 3 times 2. Weekly - take overnight day-off 3. Yearly - take allotted vacation days 4. Yearly - schedule and visit health agents (doctor, dentist, chiropractor, cardiologist, other) Intellectual Dimension: 5. Weekly – Read part of at least one book 6. Yearly – attend one course/seminar relevant to priesthood (Example: “Ongoing Formation Conferences”) Spiritual Dimension: 7. Acquire new Spiritual Director by Thanksgiving 8. Daily - Pray the Divine Office 9. Daily - perform some kind of spiritual reading and/or homily preparation 10. Weekly – attend Scripture study prayer group (for support and homily preparation) 11. Monthly - visit Spiritual Director (9 times during the year) 12. Monthly – “Spiritual Retreat Day” (9 times during the year) 13. Monthly - Confession 14. Yearly – attend Spiritual Retreat Pastoral: 15. Daily - Mass for St. Monica Parish 16. Yearly - attend Mass at St. Katherine of Siena School 17. Yearly - Attend Mass at St. Norbert School 18. Yearly - offer services to an organization/ministry outside of parish (maximum – two times total)

KRA #2 - LEADERSHIP OF STAFF – Ensure completion of initiate weekly monitoring of KRA/SMART Goals for both Parish Staff “Team” and individual Parish Staff members in order to:  Reduce Parish Staff stress  “Right-sizing” Parish Staff workload  Align Parish Staff activities to Parish Mission/Vision SMART Goals:  Complete “360 Evaluation” by end of summer, 2015  Complete moderated Parish Staff “Team” retreat by end of summer, 2015  Ensure completion of drafts of individual Parish Staff KRAs by September 30 (together with Bernie Annechini)  Overview initial drafts of staff KRAs by September 30  Complete Parish Staff “Team” KRAs by October 30  Complete one-on-one KRA interviews with Parish Staff members by October 30  Complete one-on-one KRAs of Parish Staff members by October 30  Weekly monitor Parish Staff attention to KRAs during Staff Meetings through November up to Thanksgiving.  Complete necessary one-on-one correction meetings by 3rd Week of Advent  Complete off-site Parish Staff “Team” analysis by Laetare Sunday KRA #3 - LEADERSHIP OF PARISH – Ensure completion of chartering process for parish leadership (Parish Pastoral- and Finance Councils) and all organizations/ministries in order to:  Align activities with Parish Vision and Mission (Preach and Teach),  Ensure spiritual growth of parishioners (Sanctify),  Properly steward the allocation parish resources (Govern),  Ensure the healthy governance of the parish. SMART Goals:  Ensure completion of Parish Pastoral Council Charter by end of September 2015 (Bernie and Aagee).  Ensure completion of Parish Pastoral Finance Charter by end of September 2015 (Bernie and Aagee).  Ensure completion of ministry/organization KRAs by end of September 2015 (Bernie and Aagee).  Discuss KRA drafts with Parish Pastoral Council during October 2015 PPC meeting.

KRA #4 - GROWTH OF PARISH – Actively focus and engage in one initiative to personally support the goal of “Parish Outreach” to the 3,200 non-active or semi-active parishioners of St. Monica Parish (Ultimate Goal: grow parish attendance by 10%. Timing: 2015 archdiocesan “Pastoral Report”) SMART Goals:  Daily intentional prayer for discernment of outreach initiative until end of January  Involve prayer team for discernment prayer by end of September  Examine various programs/models by end of August  Price out various programs/models by end of August  Choose initiative by September 15  Advertise by September 30  Initiate beginning of October – Run into Advent  Evaluate in cooperation with Parish Pastoral Council by end of January, 2016 for continuance in 2016. KRA #5 - CAPITAL CAMPAIGN / PARISH MASTER PLAN – Complete my portion of St. Monica Capital Campaign to ensure the acquisition of necessary resources for parish safety, comfort, growth and vibrancy. SMART Goals:  Weekly – Call/meeting with Cunneen and Campaign Assistants  Complete vetting of potential “ask” amounts by September 7  Vet my participation level with parish staff during September 7 call-in meeting  Complete vetting of Capital Campaign materials by September 30 (N.B. – KRA development activity level is significant in October)  Acquire approval of archdiocese for Capital Campaign by September 30  Complete writing and delivery of Capital Campaign message for “In-Pew Weekend” by September 30  Visit 5 parishioners/families to perform “formal” ask by end of October  Formally complete Capital Campaign planning process by Thanksgiving  Celebration of close of Capital Campaign before end of the year.

KRA #6 - PARISH / PASTORAL OUTREACH – Ensure the founding of a "formal" St. Monica "Parish" Outreach Ministry ("New Evangelization") and "Pastoral" Outreach Ministry (to poor and/or needy) to fulfill our mission, enrich our local community and impact the world.
