Acceptance  Program is very competitive  Must be good in all areas  Grades  GRE, TOEFL  Motivation letter  Recommendation letter  Past experience and research  But excellence in one area can make up for something not so good in other areas  E.g., good research might make up for lower GRE grades
  10. 10. Exams TOEFL  It is “easy”, pratice 4 ou 5 times GRE  Bad news: GRE is hard.  Good news: GRE gets much easier with practice.  Bad news: 700 in 800 is low  Good news: 800 in 800 is doable  Pratice as much as you can
