  1. 1. Kahn+Associates | 1 a Assignment: Locate and organize information on today’s Digital Library — Each group of 6 students must select a political or military conflict somewhere in the world. Choose a topic that is • Interesting • Current (in the news within the last year) • Unfamiliar — Choose one Social Bookmarking tool (or other collaboration method) to be used by all members of your team • Choose ONE collaboration method per team

Kahn+Associates | 2 a Assignment (cont.) — Search for any resource using a Web Browser, the Public Internet and your collaboration tool — Learn everything you can about • The reason(s) for the conflict (background, actors, context, history) • A summary of the different positions of groups involved — Categorize what you find into information types by: • Source (government, NGO, news media, enthusiast, etc.) • Media (text, book, image, video, sound) • Language (search for the same text or concept in French, English, Arabic, Finnish, etc.)

Kahn+Associates | 3 a Assignment (cont.) — Create a summary presentation the finding of your team • Each group must design and present an online presentation summarizing the information found. • The presentation must be linked to the background information about the conflict. • Sources from web sites must be organized and summarized in a way that will communicate an overview to our group.
