A Bit About the Software‣ VIVO was first developed at Cornell in 2003, but in 2009,the VIVO Collaboration received a multi-million dollar two-yeargrant from the National Institutes of Health to further developthe open source software.‣ There is a large group of dedicated programmers working tomake VIVO and a searchable network of VIVO installations(VIVOweb) available for all.‣ Data is stored as RDF triples and will be available forconsumption by any party essentially without precondition.
